About me
Hi!
My name is Carlos Frias Ferrer and I’ve always been the techie guy in my family and school.
It all started at the age of 12 when my dad bought our first computer. I quickly got amazed by how that strange machine worked, so I tried to understand that world and my creative mind started wondering about the possibility of creating and running my own software.
I quickly started learning Batch for Windows to automate simple tasks, then I moved to C / C++ to properly learn a programming language that would allow me to do more advanced things -basically tricking my friends into believing their PC got hacked- and finally, at the age of 16, I got into the mobile world which I still truly enjoy today.
Two years after starting Android development completely on my own I got my very first job. That was an incredible experience that showed me I did know how to create Android apps, but I did not know how to properly architect a project. It was an eye-opening experience: in development there is no such thing as “knowing everything”.
Shortly after that, I continued my career into iOS development in Spain and that has given me the opportunity to work with international teams in Ireland, The Netherlands and Cyprus, where I currently am. During all those years I have gained a lot of experience: working alone and in big teams, adapting myself easily to their needs and way of working; being part of startups and international companies; dealing with frameworks and platforms that add extra juice to a project; working onsite in an office and 100% remotely etc. With that background I decided to setup a company and start offering my services of software development. I can build and design an app from scratch until it’s publicly available on the respective stores.
If you think that my career is interesting you can take a look at my detailed experience and the latest projects I have worked on to get a glimpse of the quality of my work.
